CFO, Pinnacle Human Resources


Don is a shareholder of Pinnacle Human Resources and serves as its CFO. Don is also the President of Simmons Capital Group, an independent registered investment advisory firm. For over 20 years Don has provided objective financial advice to his clients. Don currently oversees nearly $100 million of assets for his clients using a combination of no load and low load investments.

Over the course of Don's career, he has provided guidance through more than two decades of changing economic conditions, both good and bad. He has guided his clients through Black Monday in 1987, the Savings and Loan Crisis, recessions in 1992, 2001 and 2008, the Corporate and Accounting scandals with companies like Enron and Arthur Anderson, the 9/11 Terrorist attacks and their aftermath, the real estate bubble of 2001-2007 and the global meltdown of 2008. Through it all, Don has provided a steady hand to help his clients navigate through the economic changes and meet their goals.

Recently, Don has taken on the role of Business Consultant and Mentor with IBEX International, a privately owned company which provides mezzanine level funding to small & medium sized business throughout central Asia. IBEX is headquartered in London. In his role with IBEX, Don is involved in the due diligence process of evaluating companies balance sheets, cash flow statements and business plans before recommending that IBEX makes loans to them for business expansion. In addition, he acts as both a mentor, and “partner” with the businesses, reviewing balance sheets and cash flow statements, quarterly Skype conferencing to discuss business and personal matters, and visiting the companies 1 – 2 times per year. He is currently mentoring a printing / publishing firm in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan that employs 35, has revenues of approximately $800,000 US and who received a $300,000 US loan from IBEX. Over the past year Don has been involved in the due diligence process with several other companies in Istanbul, Turkey, Dushanbe, Tajikistan and Amman Jordan.


Don is married and has four children and resides in upstate New York. In his free time Don is a private pilot and loves flying his fully restored 1946 Aeronca Sedan seaplane.
