Known For What They Are For

ENGAGED WITH CULTURE. NOT HIDING FROM IT.

Our convictions are derived from our Christian faith, which is inextricably linked to an understanding of what it means to love God and love our neighbor—the two greatest commandments that God lays out for us. As we collectively and individually go through this discernment process, we must have an abundance of grace with each other, even as we sharpen one another’s thinking.

God didn’t call us to comfort—He didn’t invite us to take the easy way out. There’s a reason the path is narrow. As Faith Driven Investors, it’s imperative that we work to get the entire picture of what our money is funding. Yes, we need to know if our investment dollars are buying up “sin” stocks. And yet, that is only getting at part of the picture of what it means to effectively steward capital. If we stop there, we miss an opportunity to be involved in human flourishing and a bold witness to all those around us who don't yet share our faith but are interested in what makes us different. This investing lens is more about cultural engagement rather than cultural avoidance and withdrawal.

We are called to lean in—with truth shared in love—and celebrate the great things that God is doing in and through the marketplace. Faith Driven Investors seek out, embrace, and pour ourselves into the creation of new things. We find businesses and organizations that are rooting out sin in the world, directly or indirectly. We think about restoration, in anticipation of a ‘new heaven and a new earth’ coming to be. We do the work to find businesses that are actually standing for things.
