How Can Investors Respond to Poverty?
This Bible reading plan asks how those who have more can help those with less. We interviewed a few successful investors to see how they respond to poverty in loving and responsible ways. Simply donating money isn’t always the best way to fight poverty. Instead, we need to work with communities to find sustainable solutions to complex issues.
Day 1: Invite Everyone
Jesus tells us that He invites everyone into the Kingdom of God, not just the rich or the pleasant. Likewise, we should make sure that our earthly lives include everyone, the poor included. If we do that, God says we will be blessed.
As we think about responding to poverty, we shouldn’t be concerned with who will repay us or who will invite us to an equally fancy dinner. Instead, how are we inviting everyone into entrepreneurship and business so that they can help lift themselves and their communities out of poverty.

Day 2: God Died for Them
If God died for the lowest of the low, the poorest of the poor, then we should show the same kind of love. How shortsighted of us if we celebrate Jesus for saving us but not others! Spend enough time around people of different economic classes, and you’ll realize just how easy it is to fall on hard times. So never forget that God died for everyone, the rich and poor alike.

Day 3: Use Our More to Help Those with Less
Today’s devotional asks us to consider, to prepare, how we can help those with less. What do we do with all the poverty and hurt and pain? Perhaps the answer doesn’t lie with us, but with Christ and His church. Let’s make responding to poverty a community effort.
