Pivoting in the face of COVID-19 to an online event has been a blessing in disguise for several reasons. One of the biggest is that this format has allowed us to add new speakers to our already-fantastic line-up of Faith-Driven professionals. We wanted to introduce you to four of our most recent additions so you can share in our increased excitement for the event.

Derrick Morgan was a linebacker and first-round draft pick for the Tennessee Titans in 2010. But after nearly a decade in the NFL, he moved to a different kind of impact activity. Morgan founded KNGDM Group in 2019 with the intention of uplifting communities through social justice-driven entrepreneurship and impact investing. His faith led him to a wide array of evangelistic activities both in the Titans’ locker room and now as a managing partner at KNGDM Group. We are thrilled to welcome Derrick as a speaker because of his unique story and experience as a faith-driven athlete and impact investor. His understanding of identity and calling will resonate with attendees regardless of industry. Through this work, Morgan has been able to bring athletes, investors, and entrepreneurs together to further the biblical mission of social justice.

Efosa Ojomo is a Research Fellow at the Clayton Christensen Institute in addition to being an author of The Prosperity Paradox. He has written on the subjects of economic resilience, global prosperity, development, and poverty. His ability to contextualize these subjects and present compelling questions on practical steps toward global development make him an ideal speaker for our community. Presenting deeply complex—and timely—issues in a clear and engaging manner not only makes Ojomo a great speaker, but incredibly effective communicator and example for us when communicating with partners and networks. We look forward to his wisdom on strategies for addressing global poverty and economic development, including a call to better understand why certain practices sometimes yield perplexing outcomes across different contexts.

Software developer-turned-founder/CEO, Mark Sears, knows the power of network connections—both technological and personal. Sears turned an understanding of technology and a passion for people into Cloudfactory, a now global workforce that connects individuals around the world to job opportunities. The underlying mission: connect people in the developing world to work opportunities and empower leaders to address deep poverty issues in their communities. We are excited to have Mark in our line-up to hear about how moving his family to Nepal led to his own adventure in start-up entrepreneurship, ultimately resulting in the creation of a global network that raises up local leaders who build sustainable solutions to pressing societal issues.

A frequent contributor to the Faith-Driven family, Peter Greer is the President of HOPE International, an organization dedicated to empowering those in underserved communities to develop sustainable enterprises through a variety of activities. Peter brings a wealth of experience and wisdom to the stage (or in this case, the screen). No stranger to sharing his expertise, Greer also serves as an entrepreneur-in-residence at his alma mater, Messiah College, as well as being a Praxis Venture Partner. We are always encouraged and challenged by Peter’s words and cannot wait to hear from him again. A practiced and effective communicator, Peter Greer will bring tangible and relevant wisdom for those in all stages and industries of faith-driven endeavors.
